Blacktop

I nodded and went back to pricing more back issues of The Punisher from 1995. Most of the ads in the comics were for candy bars depicting kids in outdated clothing or nightmarish comic themed games for the Sega Saturn — back when you could still buy a Sega Saturn. After sorting through enough back issues, it’s hard not to feel like everything is waiting to become obsolete.

The story was about a band of musicians who, having set out on a ship for no apparent reason, find themselves stranded on a group of islands. The main character, a carpenter, carries with him a large black case containing a fold-up airplane. He bore a strange resemblance to Claude.

Situational Vocabulary

The Brood was a three-man stable consisting of the vampiric Gangrel, Edge, and Christian, all of whom sported waist-length blond hair. The trio was known more for its theatrics than in-ring skills, especially the way they entered the arena—accompanied by fire, smoke, and an attempt at eerie-sounding music, they would slowly make their way to the ring.
