Thief on Wires, Sarah Quinn
I ate the moon.
It tasted the way seed pearls must,
an apple that the sun forgot.
I licked the knife clean and buried it
in the place where I hide eggshells
and animal bones.
The moon is lost,
but no one knows.
Tonight, they’ll find out.
About the Author
Erin Brady, a 2010 graduate of Princeton University, spent the last
year teaching English and au pairing in Paris, and will be moving to
London in the fall.
About the Artist
University of Georgia
Sarah Quinn creates paintings that address contemporary politics in an art history framework. She will graduate from the University of Georgia in 2011 with a dual degree in painting and art history.
